SOUTHWEST, Fla. (WTXL) — A 29-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder after deputies found human remains during a homicide investigation in Leon County.
The Leon County Sheriff’s Office said it received information late Friday night that a possible homicide had occurred earlier in the week.
The investigation led deputies Saturday morning to a home in the 200 block of Pond Pine Street, off Blountstown Highway. After obtaining a search warrant, detectives found unidentified human remains that have since been identified as those of an adult man.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Luis Olla-Hernandez, 29. He was arrested and booked into the Leon County Detention Facility on a charge of first-degree murder.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
