Maya Sargent joined the WTXL team as their Northwest Tallahassee neighborhood reporter in September 2023.
Originally from the UK, Maya studied her undergraduate English degree at the University of Edinburgh, before relocating to New York City to pursue a graduate degree in Journalism at Fordham University.
Her career highlights include receiving a Gracie award for her podcast that she created and produced for WFUV 90.7, and landing this multimedia journalist role with ABC 27.
Maya is always looking to meet new people as she connects with her community. She is excited to learn more about Northwest Tallahassee and is passionate about elevating local stories.
