TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Verity Health and Wellness Center has opened another tab at a Tallahassee business.
Two weeks ago, they opened a tab at Red Eye coffee, promoting conversations about how to help race relations across the country.
Now, they've opened one at Railroad Square Craft House.
Verity donated $1,200 to the restaurant so others can dine there this weekend.
The restaurant will have live music and outdoor seating to encourage social distancing.
The owner of Verity Health, Dr. Isaac Montilla, says they wanted to pay it forward to encourage people go out and help our community's economy stay afloat.
"How do we lead our community to say, 'Hey, we can come together,' in the most creative way possible?" Montilla explained. "So the idea came about to open random tabs, invest in local businesses and say, 'Hey, we want to come alongside you.'"
You can also make a donation upon entry and 10 percent of sales from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. will go towards the next open tab at another local business.
