TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Sneads Police Sgt. Brett Preston left Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Friday after being injured in the line of duty July 23.
Preston was escorted from the hospital by the Sneads Police Department and other law enforcement agencies.

Preston released the following statement via the Sneads Police Department Facebookpage Thursday:
A benefithas also been announced for Sgt. Brett Preston. The event will be held August 27 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. at Sneads Park on Lake Seminole.
According to the event page, there will be live music, food vendors, dunk a cop, activities for children, silent auction, gun raffle and car show.
