QUINCY, Fla. — Quincy city commissioners will decide whether to issue formal charges against one of their own.

This investigation is all about Commissioner Daniel McMillan.

He's accused of violating the city charter in two cases and it's possible he could be removed from office. But before that's even an option, the commission will hear final arguments Monday.

McMillan has denied he's done anything wrong. One case claims he made racially offensive comments at a basketball game.

The other case involves interfering with the operation of city government when he moved a police vehicle as crews were fighting a fire.

The interim city manager says citizens brought up the complaint about the game and the other complaint came through the police department.

McMillan has testified in previous meetings. That includes explaining to the commission what he said at the game.

The interim city manager says the commission will decide if there's enough evidence to issue charges and move towards sanctions.

One of the options is removing McMillan from office.
