TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Tallahassee is hosting a convention that's out of this world.

The first ever Infinity Con Tallahassee starts Saturday.

For the last 6 years, Infinity Con has been in Lake City. But due to the overwhelming desire from fans, the events coordinator says this is the year to bring that culture to the Capitol City. He says in Lake City the event drew more than 1,000 people and his goal for Infinity Con Tallahassee is even bigger.

"One of the things I want to be able to do is say, 'Hey, let's be your main summer event,'" said David Heringer, the events coordinator for Infinity Con. "You see people from all different backgrounds, all different anything coming together that normally wouldn't hang out in this setting."

It all kicks off Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Donald L Tucker Civic Center and will go until 6 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for kids. You can purchase your ticket by clicking here.
