POLICE: Man Dead in Shooting on Dewey St. and Preston St. in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, FL (#WTXLDigital) -- Here is an update to what we know about the recent shootings in Tallahassee. Police have released little details about the cases, but below is a breakdown of the investigation into each case.

June 12th, Old Bainbridge Road and Fourth Avenue 

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on June 12th, a neighbor called Consolidated Dispatch Agency saying they heard gun shots.

Victim: Roy Lee Simmons, deceased.

Suspect: A suspect has not been identified at this time. 

What Happened: When TPD got to the scene, they canvassed the area and found the man dead from a gunshot wound. Police are not releasing the name of the victim until they notify the next of kin. This is an on-going investigation and because of the time of the incident, police say they have not found many witnesses and are asking for the community's help in solving this case.

June 11th, 2600 Block of Old Bainbridge Road

At approximately 10:00 p.m. on June 11th, area residents called police saying they heard gun shots.

Victim: Jade McKinnon, mother of suspect's child.

Suspect: David Lee Holmes, Jr - Arrested of Tallahassee Police Officers

What Happened: Holmes is accused of shooting McKinnon's car twice during an altercation outside of her home. Holmes turned himself in for several outstanding warrants and was charged for this incident while in jail. 

June 6th, South Meridian Road

At approximately 9 p.m. on June 6th, Tallahassee Patrol Officers found a man suffering from a gun shot wound. 

Victim: Eddie Butler, taken to the hospital for treatment

Suspect: A suspect has not been identified at this time. 

What Happened: Eddie Butler was found by Tallahassee Patrol Officers suffering from a gun shot on Saturday on the 2000 Block of South Meridian Road just after 9 p.m. Police say Butler was given medical treatment and taken to the hospital for further care. No other details have been released at this time. 

June 3rd, Joe Louis Street

At approximately 8 p.m. on June 3rd, off-duty Tallahassee Police officers heard gun shots being fired in the area of Joe Louis Street.

Victim: Calvin King - Non-life threatening injuries. Police say King is expected to make a full recovery.

Suspect: Eldred Frazier - Arrested by officers working “Operation Safe Neighborhoods” detail.

What Happened: Officers found the location of the shots and located Calvin King who was suffering from non-life threatening injuries. Police say King is expected to make a full recovery. Another group of officers found the shooting suspect, Eldred Frazier, while working their “Operation Safe Neighborhoods” detail. Officers tased Frazier and took him into custody where he was booked in the Leon County Jail after being evaluated at the hospital. 

May 30th, Ridge Haven Road

At approximately 10 p.m. on May 30th, Tallahassee Police Department officers responded to the 4200 block of Ridge Haven Road to reports of multiple victims of gunshot wounds

Victim: Two unnamed teenagers, both are expected to recover.

Suspect: A suspect has not been identified at this time. 

What Happened: At the scene, officers found a 14 year old shot in the hand and 16 year old shot in the leg. Police say the two were treated for their injuries and are expected to recover.

May 30th, Putnam Drive

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on May 30th, Tallahassee Police Department officers responded to the a home on Putnam Drive.

Victim: No injuries were reported at this incident. 

Suspect: A suspect has not been identified at this time. 

What Happened: Officers discovered that five people were outside the home when a black sedan approaching them and a black male in the passenger's side started firing shots at the people, using, what officers say, was an assault-type rifle. Police say the car fled the area, and there were no reported injuries.

May 30th, Dewey and Preston Streets

At approximately 8 p.m. on May 30th, Tallahassee Police Department officers responded to the area of Dewey and Preston Streets, where they say a man was shot. 

Victim: D’Juante Tucker - The 22 year-old died on scene according to police. 

Suspect: A suspect has not been identified at this time. 

What Happened: Few details have been released about this incident. Police say though they found D’Juante Tucker lying in the roadway of a gun shot wound. 

May 25th, Country Club Drive Shooting

At approximately 1:30am on May 25th, Tallahassee Police Department officers were in the area of Country Club Drive, on routine patrol, when they heard the sound of a gun being fired.

Victim: Christopher James Seabrooks - He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Suspect: Brion Williams - Arrested June 4, charged with First Degree Murder

What Happened:  According to the probable cause affidavit, Seabrooks was in the area of Country Club Drive looking for his recently stolen property when he was shot. A witness to the shooting told police that Seabrooks was shot by Brion Williams.

May 22nd, West Tennessee Street Shooting at Cancun's Sports Bar 

At approximately 1:55am on May 22th, the Tallahassee Police Department was called to 2549 West Tennessee Street for a report of a shooting at a local bar.

Victim: One person was injured and taken to the hospital. Police have not released the victim's identity.

Suspect: Police have said that the shooter in this incident was an employee of the bar and that charges are pending. However, they have not released a suspect name in this case.

What Happened: There are still a lot of facts that police have not released involving this case. What we can confirm from the initial investigation is that the bouncer asked the victim to leave several times when the pair got into an altercation. That is when police say the shooting happened.

May 20th, Halstead Boulevard Shooting

At approximately 2:55pm on May 20th, the Tallahassee Police Department was called to 1833 Halstead Boulevard to a report of a shooting at the Plantations At Pine Lake.

Victim: David Queen - He died at the hospital as a result of his injures.

Suspect: Michael Mason - Booked in the Leon County Jail May 22nd on a homicide charge.

What Happened: The incident report says that Mason admitted to shooting and killing Queen after the pair got into a fight.
