UPDATE: Man Recovering from Injuries After Bar Shooting

UPDATE (6 p.m.): The Tallahassee Police Department is still investigating a shooting at Cancun's Sports Bar and Grill on West Tennessee Street.  

The gunshot victim is receiving treatment for his injuries at a local hospital after being treated on scene by emergency personnel.

The initial investigation appears to show that there was an altercation between the victim and and bar security.  The victim had been asked to leave the club by security personnel but he refused, and a fight broke out. At some point, the victim was shot by the bar employee.

According to the Tallahassee Police Department, charges are pending against the bar employee.

Investigators are concerned that some witnesses to the incident were not interviewed prior to leaving.  Anyone with information are asked to call the police department at (850)891-4200

UPDATE (5 a.m.): Police say a man has been hospitalized in serious condition after a bar shooting. 

According to authorities, a patron at Cancun's Sports Bar and Grill on West Tennessee Street was being disruptive and was asked to leave.

The customer initially refused, but workers were eventually able to get him outside the restaurant.

That's when police say the man and an employee got into an altercation, and the employee shot him.

Officials say charges are pending, and are now asking anyone who may have witnessed what happened to call police.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- An overnight shooting has been reported at a Tallahassee bar. 

It happened at Cancun's Sports Bar and Grill on West Tennessee Street.

No other details are being released at this time.

Tallahassee Police are on scene investigating.
