Drier air and an ongoing trend of fast upper-level winds will keep the tropics fairly settled and uneventful for several more days.

While some sources of moisture exist in the western Gulf, there are no indications of development there since winds aloft are also quite strong, shearing the mass of moisture and preventing better organization.
