MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Subtropical Depression One continues to stay weak in the open Atlantic. (Shown in red circle)
As of the latest advisory by the National Hurricane Center, the system has winds of 35 mph, but it will be absorbed by a larger non-tropical low in the next day or two. This will prevent any further organization as water temperatures are still cool and upper level winds associated with the nearby low pressure system persist.
The system is no threat to land.
The official start to the Atlantic Hurricane Season is June 1st, 2017.
