MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The former Hurricane Chris has transitioned into a post-tropical low-pressure storm in the northern Atlantic, near the Canadian Maritimes and racing to the northeast into a colder environment. The moisture connected to the tropical wave once called Beryl is about 500 miles east of Florida and moving north, struggling to regain any tropical organization. Limited strengthening is possible between now and the weekend as the system remains over the open Atlantic.
Other disturbances present in the Atlantic basin do not appear to have favorable development chances through the upcoming weekend.
