TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Hurricane Julia made landfall this morning and is currently hovering off the coast of Nicaragua and will continue to push west across Central America. Major threats include heavy rains, storm surge, life threatening flash floods and mudslides for parts of Central America through Monday. Julia is expected to weaken by Tuesday.
Additional tropical formation in the Atlantic Basin is not expected for the next five days.
