TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- A low pressure system east of the Leeward Islands has a 80% chance of cyclonic formation over the next 5 days. Thunderstorm activity has continued to increase and a tropical depression is expected to form today or tomorrow. This system will continue to move northwestward over the central Atlantic at 10-15 mph.
A disturbance over the Bahamas has a 10% chance of cyclonic formation over the next 5 days. There are no signs of a surface circulation and environmental conditions are not favorable for development as it continues to move west-northwest at 15 mph. This could bring heavy rain locally by Tuesday.
