MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- This Wednesday is starting off quiet as winds from the northwest filter in drier air, hindering any chance of rain development. This, all after a cold front sweeped through the area early Tuesday. This afternoon should feature highs in the lower 70s with partly cloudy skies developing in the afternoon as another front approaches from the northwest. Lows tonight will fall to the mid and upper 40s.
The aforementioned front is not packing enough moisture to be considered a rain-maker for our area, though it may temporarily increase clouds on Thursday as it passes. Highs on Thursday are forecast to rise to the mid and upper 60s after the frontal passage, with lows into Friday in the lower to upper 30s. A light freeze is possible Friday morning.
Friday afternoon will feature highs struggling to rise, with numbers in the 50s! Lows into Saturday morning may fall into the upper 20s away from the Big Bend, meaning that a freeze is more likely for most of our inland communities.
Sunday will feature a steady warming trend with highs rebounding to near 70 degrees and lows climbing to 40 degrees, and even higher for the new work week...
