An approaching cold front, along with low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico will bring heavy rain and some thunderstorms to the area Wednesday through Thursday. A flash flood watch has been issued until 8pm Thursday evening. Most areas can expect to see 1-3” of rain with a few places seeing locally higher amounts. The threat for severe weather is low, though some storms may produce damaging winds and some hail. Clearing will begin Friday morning, by afternoon partly sunny to mostly sunny skies should return with a high temp of 82 degrees. Saturday through next Tuesday will be another nice dry stretch for us, with a decent warming trend. By Sunday we should be back in the upper 80’s.
