MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
It'll remain mild later tonight with scattered clouds, eventually leading to a few more layers of low clouds and fog developing in the early morning time frame. Lows will stay elevated, in the lower 60s, because of the moisture and fog. South winds will shift to the southwest ahead of an approaching front. The cold front's main source of energy will likely stay to the north, meaning shower coverage may become more scattered and less intense as it sinks into the area later in the day. About half of the region will experience showers after highs reach the mid and upper 70s. The front will slide just far enough south of impact temperatures for the end of the week; a slight cool-down will be accompanied by periodic cloudiness and leftover showers, with a chance for increased sunshine over the weekend. The meandering front will still be a factor in next week's weather with a possible uptick in rain and thunderstorm chances about a week from now.
