MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The upper-level disturbance has created widespread cloudiness, scattered rain, and occasional thunderstorms for most counties in the region. Areas near the Suwannee River and the southeastern Big Bend will be last to get in on the activity this afternoon and evening. The low-pressure swirl will keep considerable cloud cover in place through tonight, and the ample moisture around will help in generating additional areas of showers and rain overnight, with isolated thunder. The upper low will move to the east of the area by later Thursday, which will wind down the rain activity for inland areas by the late-afternoon hours. Lows tonight will hover in the mid 70s, and highs will range from near 90° where clouds persist to the mid 90s if more sun breaks out. Friday afternoon will be quite hot, perhaps near 100° in some cases, before a stronger disturbance and cold front arrive from the north, spreading cooling rain and a drier air mass that will try to trickle southward through the weekend.
