TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Clearing and cooling heading into Christmas morning. We're down into the mid 40s overnight with a little bit of a breeze out of the northwest up to 15 mph. Because of this breeze, small craft advisories remain in effect offshore until early tomorrow afternoon. There will be plenty of sunshine to go around as high pressure quickly builds in. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s. Lows by Friday morning will be chilly in the mid 30s, but the chill doesn't last long. High pressure moves off the eastern seaboard and winds will turn off the Gulf bringing in more warmth and more moisture as well. An upper level disturbance could bring in a few rain showers for our western counties by Saturday, but only looking like an isolated shot at the rainfall. We'll see elevated rain chances next week with scattered showers even possible through New Year's Eve. Temps all next week will be in the mid 70s, well above seasonal averages.
