MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- More of the same is expected for Tuesday and the remainder of the week. Each day, hot and humid afternoons are anticipated with a scattered shower/storm threat each day.
Tuesday: A cold front stalled to our north will continue to stay north of us on Tuesday. This will allow areas south (our region) to stay humid and unsettled. Expect morning lows to be in the lower to mid 70s with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s.
Scattered showers and storms are possible in the afternoon with coverage around 40%.
In addition, the high humidity we'll see will help to bring heat index values ("Feels like temps") in the mid to upper 90s, possibly hotter.
Beach and Boating forecast information and your Tuesday Tide Times are below:
Wednesday: The aforementioned front will slowly lift north and die out. This won't change the local pattern, though. Expect more of the same with plenty of moisture and instability. This means after a humid morning of lower to mid 70s, highs are again expected to be in the upper 80s to lower 90s with scattered showers and thunderstorms (50% coverage). Heat indices can approach the upper 90s, too.
Thursday through Saturday: A typical Summer forecast will continue. The sea breeze will be the main force behind afternoon rainfall each day. The forecast calls for lows in the middle 70s, highs in the lower 90s with scattered showers and thunderstorms (40% coverage) each day.
Sunday and Monday: More of the same will continue as a cold front stays to our north and we stay hot/humid and unsettled. Expect isolated showers/storms (30% coverage) with highs still in the lower 90s.
