MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The warm pattern continues to intensify as winds now begin to shift directly from the Gulf of Mexico. This moisture source will slowly be tapped into and rain coverage will slowly grow throughout the week. The first of two low pressure systems to impact us this week will move to the northeast across the Mississippi River Valley. This one is not expected to drastically increase rain coverage too much. Right now, our region is under somewhat of a dry wedge that will limit the rain coverage, though the cloud cover will steadily grow. The wedge of drier air should lessen up somewhat as a second low pressure cell develops along the western Gulf. As it does so, the rain coverage will grow as well as thunderstorm probability. Forecast highs for Tuesday through Thursday will be in the lower 80s with lows in the lower 60s, with rain coverage for Tuesday at <20% but will climb to 50% on Friday.
