MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The effects of the upper low in the northern Gulf are still being experienced locally, with steamy afternoon conditions and passing showers with brief heavy downpours and isolated lightning and thunder.  The low will move farther west through Wednesday, with a high-pressure system taking its place in the local weather pattern.  This will support hot afternoon with ongoing mugginess, with limited spots of afternoon storms forming.  Overall coverage shouldn't exceed 30% of the region, with even less coverage north of the state line.  Lows tonight will be in the mid 70s, and highs will range from near 90° at the coast to a few isolated upper 90s in areas inland that go without any afternoon rain.  The upper high will keep the rain cycle suppressed for the rest of the week, with highs in the mid to upper 90s and feels-like temps around 104° or higher in the afternoons.
