Rain and lots of it, will be moving through the area today. After everything is said and done we could be looking at 1”-1.5” inches in some places. Rain will start to tapper off late tonight, as a strong cold front pushes across the region and cold air starts to rush in. High pressure will begin to build and freeze warnings will most likely pop up Friday morning as temps drop to around 32 degrees. Friday will be sunny, very cool and windy. Some wind gusts could get up to 25 mph. Highs will struggle to get out of the 40’s. Colder air is anticipated for Saturday morning as lows drop to the upper 20’s across the Big Bend. Sunshine will stay with us as we warm to 60 Saturday afternoon. By Sunday, we will see partly sunny skies and have a slight chance for a shower and a high of 66. Another arctic cold front will move through Monday night, and hard freeze warnings could be put in affect. Tuesday’s morning lows will drop below freezing, and even though we will see mostly sunny skies, our highs will only be in the low 50’s. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 58.
Have a great Thursday!
