MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- High pressure from the north is building in, pulling in slightly cooler winds from the east. In addition, moisture from the Atlantic is being pulled toward the local area in the form of cloud cover. This pattern will be short as another front from the west will approach by late this weekend.

Thursday: With the cloud cover and cooler winds in place, temperatures will not be nearly as high as yesterday. Expect afternoon highs to reach the lower to mid 70s as the warming process gets slowed down today. A stray shower or so is possible today (<20% coverage), but accumulation of rain isn't anticipated. Winds will be breezy throughout the local area, with speeds of up to 20 mph.

Beach and Boating forecast information for this Thursday is below. The breezy conditions will be with anyone along the coastal waters or offshore.

Tide Times for Thursday are below:

Friday: Friday will be the transition period from the cloudiness of Thursday to a warmer weekend. Expect morning lows to be in the mid 50s with highs in the upper 70s.

Saturday and Sunday: The next front to approach will be impacting parts of the Mississippi River on Saturday, but showers and storms on the edge of the system are possible. Saturday morning will be mild with temperatures in the upper 50s. Most of the day will be warm, with partly cloudy skies. Expect highs to be in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Rain coverage will only be around 20%, but it gets higher the further west you live.

Sunday morning is forecast to be warm, with numbers near 60°. Highs will likely be around 80°. The front's energy will move northeast, but more storms are expected to roll in to the region. Rain coverage is around 30% for Sunday.

Monday and Tuesday: The unsettled pattern continues with yet another disturbance quickly moving in behind the weekend rain-maker. Lack of moisture may limit rain with coverage for Monday and Tuesday only around 20% or less. Lows will likely be around 60° with highs in the lower to mid 80s.

Wednesday: Signs point toward Wednesday and beyond featuring more storms. While rain coverage is at 20% for now, parameters show potential for scattered thunderstorms across the region. Highs are forecast to be around 80°.
