MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
We continue to move into a milder temperature regime as the weekend approaches. The high-pressure system will keep the weather pattern stable Friday, with only some scattered cloud patches blending in with the sunshine. Lows will still start below average, but avoiding hard-freeze concerns with a temp range of 31° interior Big Bend to the lower 40s near the coast. Peak temps by afternoon will reach the upper 60s to around 70° in some cases. Clouds will build during the weekend, but Saturday will just feature partial cloudiness by afternoon. A potent low-pressure disturbance will skim the northern Gulf early Sunday and promote higher chances for local rain and thunderstorms, some of which may be heavy. Another strong cold front arrives by Tuesday, dropping readings below average heading toward the Thanksgiving period.
A Frost Advisory is in effect for Suwannee and Hamilton counties from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. Friday. Areas of frost may develop in open, outlying areas. Frost development will not be confined to the counties in the official advisory.
