MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A little less coverage of late-day showers and storms will mean fewer opportunities for drenching rain and active thunder.  The showers that do exist are focused along the coast, and a few spots near Interstate 75, drifting south and not lasting very long.  Occasional clouds will linger late tonight, with a few more breaks of clearer sky likely in the morning with lows in the mid 70s.  Highs Friday will climb back into the low and mid 90s away from the coast, with a few more daytime showers and storms forming in a scattered variety.  The weekend will feature similar afternoon conditions, with heat and high humidity along with areas of developing rain and storms.  Coverage may increase for northern sections in response to an approaching front in the Deep South, keeping rain potential elevated for most inland areas early next week.
