TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) -- A southwesterly wind will continue to bring moist air to the region through the rest of the weekend. In addition, a stationary front draped across the Tennessee and Alabama border will slowly edge closer to us throughout Sunday. This frontal boundary, while still far from us, may help spark some afternoon thunderstorms over the next several days.
Tonight, rain chances continue to drop after sunset with lows falling to the lower and mid 70s. Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies will be on hand with a light southwest wind.
Sunday starts off with partly cloudy skies, but will quickly see an increase in the cloud cover moving into the afternoon hours. A southwest wind will help bring in the moisture needed for the afternoon seabreeze. Pockets of heavy rain and thunder are possible. At this time, storms may be strong, but are not expected to become severe. Updates will be given as needed.
Sunday night will be similar to tonight, with lows in the lower to mid 70s under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
