MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The majority of the stormy action for Saturday continues to push in, generally from the east. The action will continue past sunset but then we'll gradually see a diminishing trend in storm coverage. High pressure at the surface to our northeast and an upper level low pressure system east of the region will help to guide winds mainly out of the northeast, which supports the eastward movement of the majority of the storms.
Overnight lows Saturday night into Sunday morning are forecast to be in the lower 70s across the region. Daytime highs will likely reach at or near 90 degrees. Skies will be more cloudy, which may help keep the temps from reaching the 90s. Rain coverage is at 40% as daytime heating, along with the Atlantic Sea Breeze and the nearby upper level disturbance can help spark up thunderstorm activity.
Labor Day looks to be very similar, with more sunshine possible and rain coverage around 40%. Rain is possible each and every day this next week, with lows near seasonal values and daytime highs likely reaching slightly above average. A front looks to threaten the area next weekend, with elevated rain coverage.
