TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) -- A large storm system is bringing quite a bit of cloudy conditions and rain chances to our area beginning Sunday. We'll feel temperatures begin to warm up through mid-week as a warm front passes the region Sunday afternoon.
Tonight, skies will stay fairly cloudy for most of the area with overnight lows dropping to the lower 50s. Winds will be light from the east, about 5-10 mph.
Sunday we'll bring the rain chances back for the area. While the rain chances remain highest (30 percent) for the western half of the region, we cannot rule out passing showers for those in the eastern portion. Any rain we do see is expected to stay light. Otherwise, it'll be a mostly cloudy day. The previously mentioned warm front will pass in the afternoon, giving us southerly winds, warmer highs, and extra moisture for the air. Daytime highs will peak in the mid to upper 70s, with the warmer temperatures in the eastern communities.
Heading into Sunday night, the rain showers will continue periodically, just like they did during the day. Overnight lows will remain unseasonably warm, dropping the mid 60s.
The rain will continue Monday and Tuesday as well with more thunderstorm activity. There is a chance that a few isolated storms will be stronger and possibly severe. More details will be given as the days draw near.
