MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- High pressure keeps its dominance over our region for the Halloween forecast. The downward motion high pressure forces on the air, is allowing lingering moisture to settle near the surface with patchy areas of fog in the region. Temperatures in the morning are near 60° to start. With the clear skies that high pressure will allow in the afternoon, expect daytime highs to soar to near record territory, with numbers in the upper 80s!
For Tuesday into Thursday, an east wind due to high pressure will allow more moisture to move in. And soon, a more southeasterly wind will drive in ahead of a cold front. Rain chances are minimal from Wednesday through Friday (rain coverage <20%) and daytime highs will be in the mid 80s through Thursday.
Friday, the cold front will have passed the area, allowing another dose of much COOLER air, just in time for the weekend.
