North Florida and South Georgia are back in a typical summer pattern. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will occur in the afternoon to the early evening hours. Winds pushing onshore from the southwest, along with unsettled air, gulf moisture, and daytime heating will produce showers and thunderstorms. There will be a 60% chance of rain throughout the afternoon and evening hours. The afternoon showers will stick around each day with a 40-60% chance of rain throughout the week. Cloud cover from the rain will keep local regions from getting too hot, so peak temperatures will be in the lower 90s.
