MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A front will move across the southeast today, with out local area just on the sidelines of the main threat of rain. With that in mind, we can see a few showers Monday as the front approaches. After that, a quiet period will take over for a few days before our next storm threat arrives to end the work week.

Monday: Being south of a slow-moving frontal boundary, we will be under warm, humid air. This is allowing the morning to see some areas of fog (some areas may be dense). Temperatures are starting off in the upper 50s to near 60°. Forecast highs will be in the lower to mid 80s with cooler numbers along the Gulf coast. The rain chance is largest in South Georgia. Even then, overall coverage is rather low, at 20%.

The Beach and Boating forecast looks fair with warm temperatures. Get the details for offshore and near-shore conditions here:

Tide Times for Monday are below:

Tuesday: Patchy fog is possible Tuesday morning. Expect morning lows near 60°. Highs are likely going to jump back to the lower to mid 80s as the aforementioned cold front stays to our north. A stray shower is possible.

Wednesday and Thursday: Both days are forecast to start off mild, with lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Highs may be enhanced with more sunshine as the cold front retreats to the north, reducing instability. Forecast numbers are in the mid to upper 80s.

Friday: Along this slow-moving front, a disturbance over Texas will help to develop an area of low pressure that will have arrived on our doorstep for Friday afternoon. Morning lows are forecast to be in the lower 60s. Highs will likely be around 80°. The low pressure area will increase rain coverage, with it being at 50% (maybe higher). Thunderstorms are also very possible with this rain. Too early to tell if this system will have an organized severe threat.

Saturday and Sunday: Conditions should clear nicely in time for the Springtime Tallahassee Parade. Morning lows for both days are forecast to be in the 50s with highs in the 80s.
