MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A quiet weekend gives way to a slightly more active pattern to begin this new work week. Mainly clear skies will start off Monday with clouds beginning to build in the afternoon. A stalled front over central Florida will begin drifting north, closer to our area, which may allow for more storms to fire up from the Atlantic as they push west. Daytime highs are forecast to be in the mid to upper 80s with rain coverage around 30%. Lows into Tuesday morning are expected to drop to the mid 60s.
Tuesday through Thursday, conditions should be similar to Monday as isolated showers can fire up (specifically along eastern zones near I-75).
Hurricane Matthew will be very crucial to our forecast during the midweek time frame as its movement east or west can either give us more rain or drier conditions. If the storms stays well east, north winds will cool off our mornings and dry out our afternoons. If the hurricane drifts closer to Florida, outer bands of showers and storms have the potential to impact our area.
