MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- More unsettled weather will kick-start the work week as a deep plume of tropical moisture move into the Big Bend and South Georgia. Ahead of a cold front on Tuesday/Wednesday, this will help promote widespread showers to develop, with thunderstorms and heavy rain possible.
Monday: With the lack of daytime heating, instability will drop in the mornings. But as the sun rises, more heating will quickly destabilize the atmosphere, promoting more clouds and showers to quickly develop. Expect morning lows in the lower 70s, with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Rain coverage is forecast to be at 60%.
Your Beach and Boating forecast information is below, along with your Monday Tide Times:
Tuesday: More of the same with widespread showers/storms is expected. A cold front moving in may help enhance the chance for a few stronger thunderstorms. Rain coverage is forecast to be around 70%, with morning lows in the lower 70s and highs in the mid 80s.
Wednesday: Guidance hints that the main line of the aforementioned cold front will finally drive east of us on Wednesday night. Before it completely passes, however, we'll have the opportunity to see rainfall. Scattered showers/storms are anticipated, with lows in the lower 70s and highs in the mid 80s. Late clearing is expected, after most of the day features cloud cover and showers (50% coverage).
Thursday through Saturday: Drier air will move in behind the front, giving us slightly cooler mornings but hot and dry afternoons. Expect lows in the upper 60s with highs in the lower 90s. Skies will likely stay mostly sunny.
Sunday: More moisture is expected to creep back into the local picture, meaning the chance for rain returns. Expect lows in the lower 70s and highs in the lower 90s.
