MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Another extended period of our local weather will feature plentiful atmospheric moisture. This will result in higher than normal rain chances each day, with heavy rainfall as a more noticeable threat. Keep the rain gear with you all week!
Monday: We start off the new work week with mostly cloudy, humid, and warm conditions. Expect morning lows in the lower 70s with light rain/fog possible. The afternoon is expected to be mostly cloudy. While sunshine will be limited due to frequent clouds, any appearance from the sun can help heat up the surface, helping to produce more thunderstorms. Expect lows in the lower to mid 80s (warmer where there is more sunshine). Rain coverage will be around 60%. Any storms that do form can produce heavy rainfall.
Your Beach and Boating forecast information, along with your Monday Tide Times, are below:
Tuesday: Likely a repeat of Monday, with mostly cloudy skies and lows in the lower 70s. Rain coverage will be around 60% with highs in the mid 80s and heavy rainfall possible.
Wednesday through Saturday: A large amount of atmospheric moisture is expected to stay over the eastern Gulf of Mexico. With little change expected in the overall pattern, rain coverage will continue to be higher than normal at around 50-60% each day. Expect morning lows in the lower 70s, with highs in the mid to upper 80s (as sunshine may be easier to see by midweek and beyond.)
Sunday: A typical Summer-time pattern is anticipated for Sunday, with scattered thunderstorms, and morning lows in the lower 70s with highs in the lower 90s.
