MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Storm coverage will likely increase on Tuesday as the upper level low we've been closely following organizes near the surface and pushes into the Big Bend Tuesday afternoon. Winds will increase out of the southeast keeping the moisture content high and keeping the region in a mostly cloudy pattern yet again. Low pressure promotes rising air which helps form thunderstorms and adding in daytime heating with high moisture content helps promote even more activity. Rain coverage will be around 60% for the entire forecast zone Tuesday, with daytime highs struggling to reach the 90 degree mark. Overnight lows will likely range in the upper 60s inland to lower 70s both inland and along the coast. Wednesday, the low pressure system will likely push north and dissipate. As it does so, winds will return from the Gulf, giving the region potential for rain eacha and every day with daytime highs likely reaching the lower 90s. By late week, a cold front will threaten the region, which can help enhance rain coverage for the weekend.
