MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A bit of elevated high pressure remains around the region, keeping cloud cover scattered at most and allowing another warm afternoon. Any existing clouds will likely disperse later this evening after sunset. A few high clouds over the Mississippi River Valley will scrape into parts of the region overnight, but periods of clear sky are still expected in most cases. Patchy isolated fog is possible before dawn as temps fall to the low to mid 60s. Highs will rise well through the 80s Tuesday afternoon, even near 90° for some areas near the Suwannee River, with only occasional scattered cloudiness in the afternoon. The rain opportunities remain slim until later in the week, after a few days of moisture increase and the closer approach of a front. It is not projected to make a clean sweep through the area this work week, but it may trigger a few more showers and thunderstorms by Friday.
