TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Monday proved to be yet another muggy day with plenty of afternoon rain and thunderstorms. Sitting to our south in the Gulf of Mexico is a high pressure that is bringing us our west and southwesterly winds. This air is a bit moist and helps contribute to our afternoon clouds and rain chances. Over the next several days, our weather pattern is not expected to change much. This means our days will start muggy, stay humid, and have a chance of afternoon rain and thunderstorms.
Tonight, skies may try to gradually clear to partly cloudy skies while temperatures will slowly fall to the mid 70s. Winds are expected to remain very light to calm from the southwest as well.
Tuesday will be similar to Monday...Mostly sunny skies in the morning quickly becoming much cloudier by the afternoon hours. Rain chances will also increase throughout the day, topping off in the afternoon at a 50% chance. Rumbles of thunder may be heard, and some storms may be stronger than others, but storms are not expected to be severe. Winds remain light from the west to southwest direction.
Tuesday night will be another quiet, yet muggy, one with lows in the mid 70s and partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.
