MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
An unseasonably dry trend is underway that will produce a cooler-than-average low for the official first morning of summer Tuesday (the season starts with this evening's solstice at 6:34). A clear sky will occur with light easterly winds, and unusually dry air for this time of year will allow temps to drop into the mid to upper 60s away from the beaches. The afternoons will still reach average levels of heat, with highs in the lower 90s, but the amounts of mugginess will remain restrained with east winds stretching into the midday time frame. A general stable, upper-high feature will dictate temp trends this week by boosting highs back into the mid 90s beyond midweek, while lows will also rebound to the lower 70s. Rain chances will be slower to follow suit, only coming back as isolated cases toward the end of this week.
