TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Yesterday's cold front has stalled across portions of central and south Florida and will remain in place over the next several days. As for the low pressure that was in the Gulf last night, that has now become Tropical Depression Emily. This storm made landfall this morning near the Tampa area. Emily is forecast to continue bringing heavier rain to that area as it moves across the Florida Peninsula. Locally, this storm will not affect the Big Bend or south Georgia. In fact, we will continue seeing dry conditions for the coming days.
Tonight, the dry air over the region will allow lows to fall to the mid and upper 60s throughout. Skies will be mostly clear with a light northeast wind.
Tuesday is forecast to be similar to Monday...sunny morning, followed by some afternoon clouds. Daytime highs warm near 90 degrees, with a very a small chance of a passing shower. Tuesday night will be another cool and quiet one with lows near 70 degrees, and mostly clear skies.
