MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Massive amounts of dry air and higher air pressure in the region are putting an effective cap on shower and storm chances today, and for the next few to come. Lows tonight will fall below average in the upper 50s to lower 60s as the sky remains mainly clear, winds will be occasionally calm, and the air stays dry. Abundant sun is forecast for Tuesday with near-average warmth in the upper 80s to around 90°. It will be warm enough to trigger the seabreeze, which may work with the extra warm air to produce just an isolated shower or storm. Overall chances are very low, but are focused on the eastern Big Bend and the I-75 corridor between mid-afternoon and early evening. Other than this, rain activity will be quite minimal through the week, with a chance for an enhancement in the northerly flow late this week that will further lessen the risk of building showers and storms leading into the Memorial Day weekend.
