MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A cold front will slam into the region tonight into early Tuesday morning, creating areas of heavy rain along with higher chances for stronger gusts from thunderstorms, as well as an isolated case of tornado development. The window for possible severe weather ranges from about 8 p.m. in the Apalachicola River basin to 3:00 a.m. in the Suwannee River. Rain totals may reach one to two inches across the area before rain coverage diminishes greatly just before sunrise. Most of the Tuesday daylight hours will feature higher amounts of sun with mild afternoon readings. Lows will fall to around 50° west, but remain in the upper 50s east. Highs will manage to climb toward 70°. Chilly air only gives a glancing dose to the region, so lows will fall toward 40° by the middle of the week. The pattern will provide several days of mainly clear sky, with warming afternoon temps by the end of the week.
