MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The low pressure system that impacted our region on Wednesday has moved east of us. To our northwest, we are seeing a trough of low pressure carrying a cold front to the southeastern U.S. In the middle of these two low pressures, we will see high pressure intensify for just today.

The intensifying high will allow for ample heating, with record breaking temperatures very possible in the afternoons. For the Big Bend and South Georgia, expect temperatures to range from the lower to middle 80s.

Near the coast, temperatures are expected to be in the upper 70s, with a cooler ocean breeze preventing more heat from accumulating. No rain is expected today. Lows into Saturday morning will be mild, with temperatures in the middle to upper 50s.

Tide Times are below:

Saturday afternoon will be rather mild with highs in the middle to upper 70s. A cold front will push through, but it is weak, with less than 20% rain coverage anticipated with it. After it clears the area, Saturday night and Sunday morning temperatures will turn chilly, with lows near 40°.

Sunday afternoon will be near average, with temperatures near 70° and sunny skies galore. The forecast after Sunday, quickly warms back up.

Monday through Wednesday, expect highs to be in the upper 70s climbing to the lower 80s. A new front that is expected to be to our north, will enhance rain coverage, but it starts off low for both Monday and Tuesday (20% or less).

Wednesday and Thursday will feature 30% coverage of showers and storms. The cold front will stall through Wednesday, finally passing on Thursday. Cooler air will be in store for Thursday.
