MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A return to a fairly typical Summer pattern is in store for Friday and the first half of the weekend. Lingering moisture at the surface will keep it rather muggy in the mornings and afternoons. By late weekend, a cold front will raise the rain coverage back to a more numerous set-up.
Friday: The morning starts a bit foggy with abundant low level moisture. In some spots the fog may be dense. Morning lows are forecast to start in the lower to mid 70s, with highs jumping to the lower 90s. Afternoon conditions will feature partly cloudy skies, with isolated showers/storms possible (30% coverage).
Beach and Boating forecast information and your Friday Tide Times are below:
Saturday: Low level moisture and warmth will keep it muggy with morning lows in the lower 70s, afternoon highs in the lower to mid 90s (mid to upper 80s along the coast), and isolated showers and storms possible (30-40% coverage). A cold front approaching from the north may enhance the rain and cloud coverage late in the day.
Sunday into Monday: A cold front from the north is expected to slowly cross the Big Bend/South Georgia region for the period. This will keep cloud cover and rain chances elevated (50% coverage each day). Morning lows are forecast to be in the lower to mid 70s, with highs in the upper 80s to 90°.
Tuesday through Thursday: Somewhat drier air may move into the region, dropping our rain coverage, and keeping our highs near average (lower 90s). Rain coverage will be isolated (20-30%).
