MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- With more moisture working it's way into our area, get ready for more rainfall to result. The local weather pattern will likely feature more shower and storm activity through the weekend and early next week.

Friday: A stalled front to our north stays there, promoting another round of unsettled conditions with mild lows and muggy air. Temperatures in the morning are again in the lower 70s. Isolated showers and storms are moving inland from the Gulf of Mexico, and these showers will likely continue to filter through the Big Bend as the morning progresses. Scattered showers and storms are likely for the Big Bend and South Georgia this afternoon (40% coverage), with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Beach and Boating forecast information is below, as well as a look at your Friday Tide Times:

Saturday and Sunday: A plume of tropical moisture in the Western Gulf of Mexico will continue to push to the northeast, as a stationary front to our north virtually remains in place. This will keep our region in an unsettled and unstable pattern, with scattered to numerous showers and storms likely (50% coverage Saturday, 60% coverage Sunday). Morning lows are forecast to stay in the lower 70s, with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Monday and Tuesday: Even more rain is expected as an upper level disturbance interacts with more moisture in the Gulf of Mexico. This mass of moisture and energy will move east as a cold front sweeps across the Tri-State early next week. Heavy rain and thunderstorms will likely be numerous with rain coverage around 50-60% for both Monday and Tuesday. Expect 70s in the AM and mid to upper 80s in the afternoons.

Wednesday: The front should clear our area late Wednesday. This means the early part of the day may feature some showers/storms (rain coverage at 30%), with lows in the lower 70s and highs in the mid to upper 80s. Skies should be clearer by late Wednesday.

Thursday: Drier air will keep our mornings a tad bit cooler, with lows in the upper 60s and the dry air should allow for plenty of sunshine. This will help bring our highs to near 90°.
