MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The front giving the region the extended coverage for rain has pushed east and will continue to weaken as it crosses into the western Atlantic. Low pressure off the Carolina coasts, however, will continue to guide winds in from the north, preventing the sea breeze front that normally occurs during Summer months from reaching too far inland. That means that rain coverage will diminish, the further north you are from the Gulf of Mexico. Temperatures for Friday afternoon are forecast to be in the upper 80s to lower 90s inland and near the coast as well. The abundance of surface moisture will make the air temperature feel even warmer than it actually is, so keep hydrated if you are planning on being out in the sunlight. Rain coverage will be 30% for North Florida and 20% for South Georgia. The rain coverage stays at around 30% for the entire region afterward with daytime highs slightly above 90 degrees and overnight/ morning lows near 70 degrees.
