TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Temps slowly tick downward underneath more cloud cover and stormy conditions later this afternoon. We start off the morning in the low 70s with patchy fog impacting the region. Once the sun comes up and burns off the fog, we'll still have partial cloudiness to keep the temps at bay a little bit more. This is all courtesy of an upper level low pressure system riding northward along the Florida peninsula. Expect temps to peak slightly above average in the low 90s region wide. Rain chances will begin to increase in the early afternoon with highest rain chances for our Florida counties. Storm chances remain elevated through this evening, so especially for the early portions of the FSU Block Party, you'll want to keep an umbrella handy. This trend persists into Gameday as well in which tailgating may be a bit wet, but a drying trend will persist through the game. By next week, rain chances decrease as a ridge of high pressure sets up allowing temps to go back up into the mid 90s.
