MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Hefty rain totals have accumulated in many parts of the Big Bend and the state-line region of south Georgia, with widespread tallies of two inches or more. Though the prolonged heavy rain has passed, a few more spots of showers and occasional downpours are possible through midnight across the region. Lingering showers are likely overnight, with spotty heavy rain early Saturday in the Suwannee River valley, before the cold front moves through to gradually break the clouds and allow cooler sunshine by midday Saturday. Severe weather occurrences this evening are expected to be quite limited, but an isolated stronger storm may kick up near the coast. Lows will bottom out around 50° to the mid 40s interior, and highs will be slow to recover, peaking mainly in the upper and mid 50s. Breezes will relax by tomorrow evening, leading to a chilly Sunday morning and a sunny afternoon. Sustained cool spells will stretch through a good portion of next week.
