MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Scattered thunderstorms have formed in a parallel fashion to the Big Bend coastline. The areas of rain are more numerous in the Suwannee Valley, aided by Atlantic seabreeze activity, and are moving at a variable rate and direction. Periods of heavy rain and some lightning have occurred, but overall severe weather concerns are limited. Storms will die off a little after sunset, leaving scattered clouds and considerable moisture. Mild lows in the low 70s are expected. The seabreeze front will trigger more areas of afternoon and early evening rain and storms throughout the upcoming weekend, with a slight reduction in the scattered nature of storms on Sunday. Highs will range from near 90° at the coast to the mid 90s in the interior both Saturday and Sunday. Not much change is projected in the pattern until the middle of next week, with an upper disturbance possibly cranking up the amount of showers and storms forming around the region.
