Storm Team Friday evening forecast (02/17/2017)

Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Clouds will overtake the sky locally later tonight through most of Saturday as a low-pressure system traverses the northern Gulf region.  Enough moisture will be available to spread a scattering of showers and isolated thunder into the region from time to time Saturday morning and afternoon.  Rain activity shouldn't be continuous or severe, but occasional areas of rain and thunder can be disruptive to outdoor plans.  Evening temps will fall into the 50s and reach lows near 50° soon after midnight.  A lack of sun will keep highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.  The disturbance will swing into the Atlantic, and a temporary wedge of upper high pressure will take over Sunday through Tuesday, resulting in increasing sun and warmer conditions for early next week.
