MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A fairly potent cold front, for this time of year, is on its way to the tri-state region this weekend.  It will spread cloudiness and periods of rain and a few thunderstorms across southern Georgia as soon as Saturday sunrise, spreading southeast through most of the day.  Periods of heavy rain are likely, with isolated cases of gusty storm-related winds.  The front is forecast to move into the southeast Big Bend by Sunday, allowing most areas near and north of the state line to experience a drying and clearing trend.  Highs Saturday will be mainly in the 80s, with a few lower 90s depending on how much sun we can get.  Lows tonight will be in the mid 70s, lower 70s Sunday morning, and perhaps upper 60s for the interior by Monday morning with more sunshine in the day.
